To design and conduct a practical and tailor made training course for educational change facilitators.

Description

CECIP, APS International partner in Rio de Janeiro (see: www.cecip.com.br ) initiated this project to prepare its staff for working with schools as trainers, coaches and consultants. The team that designed and conducted the course consisted of three senior staff of CECIP, and one of APS. The course covered various dimensions of school improvement theories (CBAM, effective schools, organizational development, the function of leadership, strategic and operational interventions, mental preparation, cognitive psychology, adaptive education, learning theories, et cetera).

The Rio based Veiga de Almeida University has invited CECIP to offer this one year course as part of its curriculum, starting end of 2005.
